TDR Capital, a leading European private equity fund, executed the acquisition of H.I.G. Capital, a leading global private equity and alternative assets company with over USD 64 billion of capital under management, of Acqua & Sapone Group.

The transaction, whose binding agreement was announced to be executed in June 2024, constitutes the first investment platform of TDR Capital in Italy and provides for that H.I.G. Capital fund and Barbarossa family shall maintain a significant interest in the company.

Acqua & Sapone has a turnover of over EUR 1.1 billion and is leader in Italy in the sale of a wide range of products for home and personal care at affordable prices through a network of over 700 shops.

PedersoliGattai advised the CEO and the top management of Acqua & Sapone in relation to different aspects of the transaction with a multidisciplinary team led and coordinated by Alessandro Capogrosso (partner). Corporate/M&A aspects were managed by Matteo Sica Fiorillo and Filippo Emanuele Sani (senior associates) with support from Lorenzo Santambrogio and Francesca Lacava (associates).
