Diritti editoriali e prodotti audiovisivi – Corso AIE
On November 11 and 13, we had the pleasure of holding two lectures as part of the training course organized by AIE – Associazione Italiana Editori (Italian Publishers Association), dedicated to the legal aspects of copyright management in the adaptation of editorial content into audiovisual works.
Costanza Sandrucci and Mattia Pivato explored the main topics of interest to publishers and professionals in the sector, including:
🔹 the regulation of publishing contracts and the changes introduced by EU Directive 2019/790 (Copyright Directive);
🔹 the transfer and exploitation of publishing rights for film, television, and digital adaptations;
🔹 contractual relationships between authors and audiovisual producers and the necessary authorizations;
🔹 the use of generative artificial intelligence systems in adaptation activities and the related legal issues;
🔹 best practices for the proper management of rights and the prevention of infringement risks.
A valuable opportunity to discuss an increasingly central issue with industry professionals: the dialogue between publishing and audiovisual media, in a landscape where the boundaries between books, videos, and digital platforms are increasingly blurred and their relationships increasingly interconnected.
