Gaia Baroni, a Senior Associate in the Tax Department and a member of the Space Law & Economy Focus Team, participated as a speaker at the 33rd Workshop on Space Economy organized by the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) and the International Astronautical Federation, held in Antalya, Turkey, during the 77th International Astronautical Congress.

In her presentation, Gaia explored the role of taxation as a strategic lever for the development of the space economy, analyzing how targeted tax policies can help attract private investment and foster the growth of national space ecosystems, with specific reference to developing economies.

This was an important opportunity for international dialogue on the future of the space economy and the tools needed to support its increasingly innovative, competitive, and sustainable development.
