Launch of the second edition of the “Access to Education” Programme, created and promoted by PedersoliGattai

The initiative provides an annual contribution between €10,000 and €14,000 to each of the students joining the programme to complete a Law degree at the University of Milan

The deadline to submit the applications for the second edition of the “Access to Education” initiative, created and promoted by PedersoliGattai together with Fondazione di Comunità Milano, the University of Milan and the Territorial School Office, is August 31, 2024.

The initiative is addressed to talented young individuals, aged up to 20 years, who have graduated from the high school this year, are motivated to pursue a Law degree, and are in economic circumstances that do not allow them to continue their studies. They must also come from socially and economically vulnerable backgrounds within the metropolitan area of Milan.
Based on the applications, a qualified Commission will select four students who will benefit from a significant financial support and tutoring for the entire duration of their law studies at the University of Milan, with subsequent employment at PedersoliGattai guaranteed for at least two years.

This is not just a scholarship but an annual financial contribution to each student of €10,000 for the first year, with an annual increase up to €14,000 in the 5th-year undergraduate.
The total investment for each group of four students over six years is estimated at €500,000.
The initiative aligns with PedersoliGattai’s aim to pursue the 4th Global Sustainability Goal, which is “Quality Education for all.”

Licia Garotti, partner at PedersoliGattai, commented: “A year after the launch of the ‘Access to Education’ project, we are reaching the objectives we set. It is a project that we strongly desired as Gattai, Minoli, Partners, and it is now supported with great backing from all the partners and colleagues with whom we established PedersoliGattai. This is the best confirmation of the initiative, demonstrating that we have given concrete meaning to the terms ‘inclusion’ and ‘opportunity,’ which, even as ESG goals, are very important to our Firm.”

Duccio Regoli, partner at PedersoliGattai, stated: “I believe the important thing about our program is that it is not just a scholarship but an initiative where we have sought to guide and inspire the students involved. We did this by inviting them to our offices, following them in the preparation of their study program, and in some cases even tutoring them for exam preparation, especially in the more challenging subjects.”

“It is an investment, also in terms of time, primarily aimed at enabling quality education. The message we want to convey is that, in the current environment so driven by technology, competence is essential. This is precisely to be able to use technology consciously, also as a very useful tool for the legal profession,” added Garotti.

Duccio Regoli added: “Not only education, not only competence, but also commitment, because the students need to understand that in our profession, to excel, a lot of commitment is required, and this dedication must start already during the university studies. We all hope that this will also be a way for them to grow professionally and maybe, in the future, become our colleagues and, who knows, even partners within the Firm!”.
