PedersoliGattai advised Sofinter SpA, player in the international energy market, as part of a complex transaction in which, on the one hand, Ansaldo Energia, a world leader in power generation, active in the development of products and technologies to support energy security and transition, has acquired from AC Boilers SpA 60% of share capital of Centro Combustione Ambiente SpA, a reference point for research, development and testing of new processes in the field of low-emission combustion technologies; on the other hand, Sofinter has acquired from Ansaldo Energia 10% of the share capital of AC Boilers, operating in the field of design, construction and installation of large-scale boilers for power generation plants, holding 100% of AC Boilers’ share capital.

With the acquisition of 100% shareholding in AC Boilers, Sofinter continues its vertical integration strategy aimed at creating a group able to manage internally the entire design, construction and installation process of industrial boilers.

PedersoliGattai acted in the transaction alongside the in-house legal team of Sofinter managed by Andrea Ancora (general counsel) and Veronica Coppini (legal counsel), with a team led by Carla Mambretti (partner) and composed of Giulia Fioramonti (associate) and Matteo Pandimiglio (counsel).
