On April 29, 2024 the Court of Forlì accepted the requests made by Alpi S.p.A., Italian company and global leader in the production of compound wood in a lawsuit against a well-known German industry.

The decision is relevant in terms of extension of jurisdiction pursuant to EU Regulation no. 1215/2012, since the Court determined that the cognisance of jurisdiction choice clauses may be assessed a posteriori on the basis of the multi-year duration of the relationship and may be inferred not only from the general terms and conditions of the contract, but also from their reference contained in order confirmations.
