PedersoliGattai with KYIP Capital in the acquisition of Gruppo Volta
PedersoliGattai advised KYIP Capital SGR SpA, on behalf of the closed-end investment fund named “KYIP Investment Fund”, in the acquisition of Istituto Volta Srl, one of the leading players in the Italian vocational training market.
Istituto Volta, founded in 2010 by the Tittozzi family, operates nationwide through its offices in Milan, Rome, Naples and Bari, providing its students one-stop-shop solutions that include training & testing centres, certificate delivery and company placement.
Through its 3 brands (Istituto Volta, Formamente and Pianeta Studio), Volta offers a wide range of courses, mainly in the IT and Healthcare field (approx. 60% of turnover), as well as technical specialisation courses recognised by different Italian regions.
Volta represents the initial platform that KYIP intends to develop in the world of professional training; the latter is still an extremely fragmented industry with significant room for improvement. Therefore, KYIP expects a growth of Volta platform both internally – also thanks to an important strengthening of the educational offer – and externally, through acquisitions of complementary businesses also through agreements with trade associations and industrial districts.
PedersoliGattai advised KYIP with a corporate team composed of Lorenzo Fabbrini (partner), Roberto Garrone (senior associate) and Angela Russo (associate); with a finance team composed of Gian Luca Coggiola (partner) and Enrico Fontanini (associate).
Due diligence aspects were managed by Matteo Bortolotti (senior associate) and Ludovica Cimini (associate).
